KPCC cuts 'Pacific' adrift

Pacific Drift hosted by Ben Adair has run on Sunday nights at KPCC for a year and a half. The final show aired last Sunday, a week after PD picked up three awards from the Los Angeles Press Club. Susan Kitchens at 2020 Hindsight heard the announcement live and says the eclectic show will be missed. (Wait, here's the problem: the July 2 show did features on Sunset Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. Wrong streets.) "Crossing East," a series of eight one-hour documentaries on Asian immigration hosted by Margaret Cho and George Takei, moves into the Sunday lineup at 8 pm.

Also at KPCC (89.3 FM): NBC 4's Ted Chen guest-hosts for Larry Mantle on Airtalk this morning.
