Civil rights attorney—and long-time thorn in the side of local law enforcement officials—Stephen Yagman has been indicted on nineteen counts of income tax evasion. The indictment dated June 1 was unsealed today and prompted an accusation from Yagman's attorney that the prosecution was political. Yagman surrendered and is due to appear in federal court this afternoon.
