Pacific Ocean Park as a video game *

P.O.P.Back in February, some will remember, I linked to video game re-creations of old Southern California amusements like Busch Gardens, Jungleland, Nu Pike and the Beverly pony rides. Mark Paul Sebar advises that while plans to do Marineland were scrubbed—the owner refused to provide maps—Pacific Ocean Park is finished. "It's about 90 percent accurate to the original," he says. The park on a pier at the end of Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica closed in the 1960s. Take the tour.

* Geography fix: Harry Shearer emails that POP was further south, closer to the city line between Santa Monica and Venice. The man should know: he's lived on Ocean Park Boulevard since the park was still around.
