Starting over *

Los Angeles Kings CEO Tim Lieweke meets the media at 1 pm at the Toyota Health Center in El Segundo to, ahem, "announce major changes to the Kings hockey operations department."

* Update: In relieving general manager Dave Tayor, the rest of the hockey front office and the entire coaching staff, Lieweke (who also stepped down as CEO) said he and owner Philip Anschutz want to bring in someone to remake the Kings into a winning team and he promised no more meddling from above. He pointed to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks as an example of a organization doing it the right way (ouch), and said that after quietly interviewing league leaders for the past month that he is closing in on the man he wants. 3:30 pm
