After a twelve-year run the Thursday afternoon Westwood Village farmers market has been told to leave. Construction on the giant Palazzo Westwood development makes the area too unsafe for market stalls and strolling pedestrians, according to city officials cited in the Daily Bruin. This Thursday will be the last day, although flyers handed out last week urged customers to complain to councilman Jack Weiss about the decision.
