Take a guess

How many people do you think get taken to hospitals in Los Angeles Fire Department ambulances every day? 50? 100? 300? A thousand? I would have guessed about a hundred or so, but Brian Humphrey at the LAFD blog says the daily average is a whopping 511 transports. He gives the list of most active hospitals—of course County-USC is number one—and says the average travel time is eight minutes and twenty seconds.
