KPCC twists in the wind *

Mt. WilsonHigh winds are taking a toll up on Mt. Wilson. KPCC was temporarily knocked off the air last night—and again this morning—by a transmitter outage. Also, at about 2 am the station's satellite receiver dish got twisted off azimuth and they lost the BBC and NPR feeds for a while, says program director Craig Curtis. Here's the photo larger at Fybush.com.

And fires: The CBS2/KCAL9 website is watching blazes in La Canada-Flintridge, Tujunga and the produce district downtown.

* KPFK too: The Pacifica station was apparently off the air from 3 am to 9:20 this morning (and not because they couldn't pay the electric bill.)
