♦ Mayor Villaraigosa addresses Town Hall Los Angeles at 12:30 in the Gold Room at the Millennium Biltmore. It will air on Channel 36 beginning Thursday at 9:30 pm. Separately, Controller Laura Chick plans to release an audit of parking operations at El Pueblo at 9:30 am.
♦ Merrill Lynch sketched out some scenarios for sale of the LA Times and other Tribune properties.
♦ Huffington Post-er Harry Shearer is back in New Orleans and says they could, ironically, use a little rain.
♦ Used to be that the 1100 Wilshire building near downtown couldn't give away its office space—the joke was that the WCT sign on the top stood for Without Current Tenants. Now that it's being converted into pricey condos, parking spaces are selling for $15,000 to $20,000.
♦ Animal services officials want City Hall to create a "rabbit sterilization revolving fund."
♦ New design (with red lips) at LAPD Wife and a disclaimer from blogger Renee that she wears her handcuffs-themed charm necklace "as a symbol of support for my husband's profession. Period. There are no sexual connotations."
♦ Bartolo Colon wasn't the most dominant pitcher in the American League last season, or even maybe on the Angels, but he is the Cy Young Award winner.
