Century Plaza sold

HotelThe first hotel in Century City, opened in 1966, fetched $293 million from Global Hyatt Corp., the L.A. Business Journal says. At $403,000 per room, it's likely to be the richest hotel deal anywhere this year, the paper reports. Currently a Westin, it will be renamed the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. The nearby Park Hyatt has a different owner but will continue as a sister Hyatt property. The St. Regis down the street sold earlier and is being converted to condos.
