Summer is a time for guest bloggers, and at Kevin Drum's Political Animal (written in SoCal but affiliated with Washington Monthly), L.A. Times columnist Michael Hiltzik is taking a whirl in the blogosphere. He has a post up today that contrasts Hewlett-Packard's layoff of 14,500 employees with former CEO Carly Fiorina's $21 million severance package some months back. He also files on the Rove affair and Social Security. Hiltzik shares the Political Animal space with co-guest blogger Lindsay Beyerstein.
