Participants in the Congress for the New Urbanism meet in Pasadena from Wednesday through the weekend. Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa will deliver remarks about his vision for Los Angeles at the opening session on Thursday night. Congress co-founders Elizabeth Moule and Stefanos Polyzoides will make a big presentation on the history and urbanism of the Los Angeles area, while other noteworthy speakers on the program include William Deverell and Greg Hise of USC, Donald Shoup of UCLA, Robert Gottlieb of Occidental and William Fulton of the Solimar Research Group.
