Someone who observed today's City Council farewell to Cindy Miscikowski emails that both Hahn and Villaraigosa showed up (along with ex-members Zev Yaroslavsky and Joy Picus.) The video tribute included a segment on Council President Alex Padilla and colleague Tony Cardenas pretending to break in to Miscikowski's office, go through her stuff and make a crack on how organized she seems. On the way out, Padilla swipes something off her desk. Ex-councilman Marvin Braude also appeared via video.

Inauguration watch: Journalists have been told that for tomorrow's evening gala, the Villaraigosa surrogates showing up at 5 p.m. to appear on newscasts will be City Controller Laura Chick, school board president Jose Huizar, Council President Alex Padilla, Councilmembers Wendy Greuel, Jack Weiss and Martin Ludlow, and ex-mayor Richard Riordan.
