The Times identifies Steve Sugerman, a former Fleishman executive and ex-Riordan deputy, as one of the unnamed (and uncharged) co-conspirators. The LAT also says that Dowie is likely to be arraigned Monday, that his attorney predicts he will be absolved, and that federal sentencing guidelines would likely call for three to five years if Dowie were convicted. Also: L.A. Business Journal, Daily News, Daily Breeze. * And: Matt Szabo blogs that Ana Garcia's report last night on Channel 4 broke ground by tying the indictment closer to Mayor Hahn. I didn't see the report, but apparently there were scenes filmed with a hidden camera at the Dec., 2003 Hahn-media Christmas party. If that's what was used to make the link between Hahn and Dowie, they needn't have bothered. That's the party where Dowie was caught ordering the cheap booze. (Er, that's the party the story was about, but Dowie's quote came from the previous year's party preparations.)
