Obits are praising the accomplishments of Carlo Maria Giulini, conductor and music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic from 1978-84. "We have lost one of the greatest musicians of our time," said Esa-Pekka Salonen, the current music director. Giulini died Tuesday in Brescia in northern Italy.
