On his first day as mayor-elect, Antonio Villaraigosa met Wednesday with LAPD chief Bratton, did the Crenshaw photo op I razzed him about yesterday, met with L.A. Unified superintendent Roy Romer and some parents at locked-down Taft High School, and dropped in on Ventura Boulevard and Eagle Rock. I hope he got some sleep too: Villaraigosa said Wednesday that he had dozed only about four hours since his campaign-ending bus tour began Monday morning. Today he goes to Mel's Diner in Hollywood and Factor's Deli on Pico to be seen, and may also appear on some national morning shows.
