Nash is new LABJ media writer *

Daily News City Hall reporter James Nash is jumping to the L.A. Business Journal, where I'm told he will cover the local media. Matt Myerhoff is moving off the media beat to report on the manufacturing sector, including the defense and aerospace industries. Rachel Brown will handle retail and marketing. At least some of the juggling is precipitated by reporter Rebecca Flass' decision to leave the Business Journal.

Catching up: Longtime local political adviser and PR exec Harvey Englander has parted ways with MWW Group. David Herbst is the new general manager of the Los Angeles office.

* And: Kate Sullivan blogs that she is the new music editor at the LA Weekly. (Via Matt Welch)
