City Controller Laura Chick has decided—after all—to divulge what she told the challengers to Mayor Hahn in their private meetings last week. Chick's office informed the City Hall press corps this afternoon that they will get copies of the memo her staff prepared on Hahn and the ethics allegations around his administration. The memo's contents came to light in an LA Weekly story a few days ago, but Chick initially refused to make it public. Late Friday afternoon, of course, is the classic time to release stories that you want to go away.
