Malibu diary

"Life and Times" has a segment slotted in tonight on Penny Grenoble O’Malley, author of Malibu Diary: Notes from an Urban Refugee. She is the ex-upstate New Yorker who escaped to Malibu in the 1980s, became a reporter at the local weekly and wrote a book. The show also takes a look Monday at political documentaries and the political mess swirling around Olvera Street. On Tuesday, there will be segments about historian Kevin Starr and the exhibit old Pasadena photos at the Pasadena Museum of California Art. On Wednesday the presidential campaign debate preempts the show. Weeknights at 6:30 p.m. on KCET.
