In bed with the Schwarzeneggers

Both Steve Lopez and Patt Morrison write columns in today Times playing off the governor's quip about getting no sex from Maria for two weeks after his speech at the Republican convention.

Also in today's LAT opinion offerings: An editorial argues that Gov. Schwarzenegger should tell the public when he is leaving California, where he is going and when he will return. The lead editorial criticizes the scare ads for local Proposition A. Elsewhere in the paper, mayoral candidate Antonio Villaraigosa begins airing pro-Proposition A ads on TV, and a judge rules that the LAPD violated actor Robert Blake's rights by allowing author Miles Corwin to observe a search of Blake's home.
