Phenom in town

TextEvery sport has had it's "next Michael Jordan" or "next Sandy Koufax." Hockey right now has a "next Wayne Gretzky" in 16-year-old Nova Scotian prodigy Sidney Crosby. He doesn't have the face or the name for the rough game, but he does have amazing hands and feet. Aficionados in Canada have been following him since he was a tyke, and at 16 the CBC aired a program on him called Great Expectations. Crosby is in town for the next two weeks skating drills and pickup games at the Health South training center in El Segundo with couple of dozen L.A. Kings prospects older than him. They are on the ice from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every day but Sunday, and admission is free. The fan board LetsGoKings.com is posting photos of Crosby on the ice. (I had his age wrong..he's 16)
