Eleven years ago, Ellie Nesler pulled a gun in a Central California courtroom and killed a man accused of molesting her young son. There was the usual hero worship from some parts for awhile because she used a gun to take justice into her own hands. She got 10 years for manslaughter, served four, and is now back in prison for selling meth. Meanwhile, her son William grew up always in trouble. He's been convicted twice of weapons charges, and at 22 is in the news this week for being wanted on suspicion of attempted murder. Police in Sonora say he beat a guy twice his age nearly to death. The Modesto Bee has the story. * And who can forget: Judgment Day: The Ellie Nesler Story (thanks, Scott)
