Both of the big NPR stations in L.A. are going into the field for next week's Democratic convention. At KCRW, Warren Olney will broadcast "To The Point" live from Boston with satirist Harry Shearer at his side, beginning with a one-hour show Monday at 1 p.m. The Santa Monica College station also plans to air the keynote speeches each evening at 7 p.m. KPPC is sending Larry Mantle to do "AirTalk" live each day at 10 a.m. Plans for coverage of the Republicans in New York will be announced later.
