Michael Silverblatt's guest today on "Bookworm" is novelist Octavia Butler, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Kindred. KCRW's new Tuesday book commentator, David Kipen, had a piece in the San Francisco Chronicle (his day job) on the start of the Sam Tanenhaus era at the New York Times Book Review. Also, for authors and others who belong to PEN Center West, tonight is the annual meeting at a private home in Brentwood.
