Los Angeles County DA Steve Cooley isn't going away now that he was reelected Tuesday in a walk. And yesterday, he told reporters for the first time that fundraising by commissioners and others in Mayor Hahn's administration is under scrutiny by a county Grand Jury. He said it's too soon to predict indictments, but did say: "Once we find out what is there, we'll decide if there is just heavy-handed fund raising that stinks, or if it is something more than that." His spokeswoman later added that Hahn himself is not under investigation, and Hahn's spokeswoman Julie Wong said the mayor looks forward to swift resolution of the probe.
