You can't say Joe Shea doesn't take the road less traveled. Two years ago, the editor in chief of the online newspaper American Reporter ran for office in the Hollywood secession election. He has now moved to Florida, but that didn't stop him from going to New Hampshire to work for John Kerry -- while also covering the campaign for the Reporter. His latest story is headlined "Kerry Looks Unbeatable," which makes him sort of the opposite of Mickey Kaus, whose Slate blog these days is pretty much devoted to exposing every discernible Kerry foible in hopes of stopping the candidate's momentum. In both cases, the writers' positions are openly stated.
