Pellicano piece a hit

This month's Vanity Fair piece on Anthony Pellicano is already being shopped to studios by CAA and finding a high level of interest, Rush & Molloy claim on the New York Daily News gossip page. They also report that New York Times editors "went insane" upon learning that music critic Neil Strauss was ghost-writing the memoir of porn star Jenna Jameson and might appear in one of her films.

The NYDN pair also talks about the flap over a San Francisco Chronicle story claiming that fight clubs are held at a Tenderloin motel. The story read like the reporter attended a fight, with graphic details; the correction a few days later admitted the writer only spoke to someone who claimed to participate. The San Francisco Examiner said yesterday that the writer, Athan Bezaitis, works as the executive assistant to Narda Zacchino, the former LAT senior editor who is now Deputy Editor of the Chronicle.
