Mesches and the FBI

An LA Weekly story on the artist Arnold Mesches, who got his FBI file and found out that friends and colleagues had fed reports on his personal habits and activities for 25 years -- and who then turned the files into art -- has sparked a far-ranging and lively discussion in the comments at Hit and Run. How rangy? The latest comment invokes the history of Prince Sihanouk of Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge.
