Mr. Loh goes to KCET

Fans of Sandra Tsing Loh know that she sometimes writes about the eccentricities of her Chinese-American scientist father. He used to hitchhike around L.A. -- maybe still does -- and my favorite anecdote about that was the time he got in the car of Angelica Huston. Mr. Loh is the subject of a feature tonight on Life & Times (KCET, 7 p.m. and midnight) -- the show bills him as "the original comedian in Sandra's family."

Sunday on KPFK's "Deadline L.A.": Barbara Osborn talks with Alison Bechdel, who draws the comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For. (Sunday 1 p.m., 90.7 FM)
