Farmers market case not forgotten

| 2 TrackBacks

Four months later, Santa Monica authorities are still trying to decide what -- if anything -- to do with Russell Weller, the elderly driver who killed 10 people and injured 80 at the Farmers Market on Arizona Street. A special CHP team is about to present the city with 1,000 pages of information from witnesses and evidence about Weller. Then police and the District Attorney will decide whether to file criminal charges. Weller was taken to the station but released shortly after the July 16 episode; his license has, however, been suspended. Stories in today's Santa Monica Daily Press and yesterday in the online Lookout.
