KNX to air expose on women abused by priests

Tonight at 6:30, KNX Newsradio (1070 AM) is airing a documentary by reporter Kari Moran on Catholic women, including nuns, who have been sexually abused by priests. The station calls "Ending the Silence" an "exclusive expose."

Says the station in a release:

During her investigation, Moran interviewed nuns, former nuns and priests, Diocesan leaders, psychologists, attorneys and others to unearth hidden stories of rape and betrayal. She learned that abused nuns have suffered in silence because they experience overwhelming shame and fear. Many blame themselves. Others are depressed and angry because they were unable to overcome many church-imposed hurdles in seeking justice against offending priests.
