Distinction magazine will launch in Los Angeles in the fall, Jack Fuller, president of Tribune's newspaper division, told Wall Street analysts and investors Tuesday in New York. The company already publishes an East Coast version on Long Island, where the Tribune's Newsday site says: 'Distinction' captures the elegant lifestyle of Long Island's affluent households along the North and South Shores, including the Gold Coast and Five Towns... It prints 40,000 copies of the controlled circulation (meaning free) magazine, eight times a year. AP provides no other details in its report from the Mid-Year Media Review, a conference sponsored by the newspaper industry.
