NYT publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr.'s interest in Dean Baquet was as managing editor, the #2 job, the New York Daily News' Paul Colford writes, citing unnamed sources. Baquet turned it down to remain #2 at the LAT, Colford reported last week.
