Buzz is sweeping the second floor at the LAT that the television critic will give up his longtime column this summer. If true, news execs (among others) won't miss him. Howard has never cared for what the local stations call news. It's been 18 years, by the way, since Rosenberg won the Pulitzer for criticism.
